Passionate & Committed Educators

Lynette

Preschool Manager

Lynette has been part of the team at the Valley Preschool since 2008 and became the preschool manager in 2016. Lynette has over 15 of experience in Early Years Education Certified with BA (hons) in childhood studies, and is certified with Norweign Woodland Schooling. Lynette is the school's special educational needs coordinator and leads all staff practice in safeguarding.

 

The thing Lynette is best at is “crafting with us” (Elsie, 4 years old)

Her favourite activity at preschool is: Sticky kids, Music & Movement

Her favourite story to read is: Odd Dog Out

Charlotte

Acting Deputy Manager

Charlotte has her Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce: Early Learning and Childcare Pathway.

​

She also holds her Safeguarding Level 4, First Aid and Food Hygiene which is helpful because Charlotte brings a a love of cooking to the setting and can often be found creating delicious food with the children. 

​

The things Charlotte is best at "dressing up" (Maisie, 3 years old)

Her favourite activities at preschool are cooking, singing and yoga

Her favourite story to read is: The Tiger That Came to Tea

Jessamine

Team member

Jessamine holds a city and guilds level 3 in Early Years Care and Education. Specialises in behaviour management and is first aid trained , holds a level 3 safeguarding and level 2 food hygiene. Jessamine returned to childcare 2 years ago, having practised as a Dental Nurse for several years

The thing Jessamine is best at is “reading us stories” (Scarlett, 4 years old)

Her favourite activity at preschool is: Sensory Play

 

Her favourite story to read is: The Day the Crayons Quit

Nichola

Team Member

Nichola has her level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce and is trained in Safeguarding Level 3.  She has also completed her level 1 makaton training. In 2023 we supported Nichola to complete a course in "tinkering with woodwork" which she is bringing to the setting to help children develop their imagination, creativity and practical skills.

The thing Nichola is best at is "cooking with us and growing cucumbers!" (Jamie, 3 years old)

Her favourite activity at preschool is: gardening and cooking

 

Her favourite story to read is: The Gruffalo

Jodie

Team member

Jodie has worked at the setting for an incredible 19 years (with the odd career break here and there for children and grandchildren)!

​

She holds her NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing and holds a Level 3 Safeguarding  qualification.

​

The thing Jodie is best at is "playing in the sand and singing" (Jacob, 3 years old)

​

Her favourite activity at preschool is activity, sensory and messy play

​

Her favourite story to read is: Room on the Broom

WE ARE RECRUITING

Our setting is growing! We're looking for a level 3 qualified team member to join us. 

​

We can be flexible but you will need to be able to give us at least 16 hours a week - the way in which they work can be discussed.
